#FanDayFriday – Lovely Lichfield
This week, my #FandayFriday topic is a place that I love to visit for it’s mixture of historical buildings, great restaurants and vintage and antique shops. I’m talking about Lichfield, the birthplace of Erasmus Darwin and Dr Johnson and the home of the beautiful three spires Catherdral. Last weekend was a date weekend for Pete and I, so we decided to spend a gloriously sunny day in one of our perfect places. St Mary’s in the Market place is a great place to start your walk around Lichfield, it is where you can find the tourist information centre and you can also get some amazing views across the city from…

June Outfit Post Part 2 – Holiday time!
A little later than I originally planned, (by life and laryngitis sort of got in the way), here is the second part of my June Outfit post, featuring some of my favourite looks from my recent holiday in Portugal. Now. there are quite a few outfits here, and this is not even all of them, so you can probably guess that traveling hand luggage only with a great capsule wardrobe is not my way when it comes to holidays. Thank goodness for Jet 2, with 22kgs luggage and another 10kgs for hand luggage, which leaves me enough space for all my holiday outfits, and still room for a little holiday…

Carvoeiro Portugal’s hidden gem
Carvoeiro, or Praia de Carvoeiro, as it is sometimes known, is a resort in the Western Algarve area of Portugal. Once a sleepy fishing village, it is now a lovely resort that is growing in popularity. A mixture of incredible beaches, great restaurants and with plenty of shops, Carvoeiro is my new favourite holiday destination, and one which I am looking forward to visiting again very soon. Tivoli Carvoeiro and Vale Covo We stayed at the Hotel Tivoli Carvoeiro. This is on the outskirts of the village, and overlooks the incredible Vale Covo, an unmanned beach which can be reached by a series of paths and steps (and is well…

A day in Ferragudo
Ferragudo is a small village in the Lagao district of The Algarve in Portugal. Still a fairly traditional village, it is tipped to become a new tourist destination, but for now, it is beautiful, peaceful and perfect for a taste of the real Portugal. Two weeks ago we paid a visit as part of our Portuguese holiday, and fell in love with it’s rustic charm, tiled buildings and relaxed atmosphere. Praia De Mohle We travelled from Carvoeiro, where we were staying, and, on route visited the stunning beach of Praia de Mohle. From here you can see right across the bay to Ferragudo, and the larger, lively resort of Praia…
