#WhatWoodYouPlay – Stepping back in time with wooden toys
It seems that when it comes to children’s toy, this Christmas may well see the return of the classic wooden designs that children of previous generations enjoyed. Parents, fed up with the flimsy nature of cheap plastic, or the amount of batteries required for even the simplest motorised toy or game, are turning back to the beautifully designed pieces they remember playing with in their infancy and are getting ready to introduce their children to toys that help develop real adventurous and imaginative play. How we used to play I love the traditional nature of wooden toys, the fact that children have been playing with this sort of toy for…

Marvel Kids launch new online games
If your child is a fan of Marvel characters like Spiderman and The Avengers, now is a great time to check out the Marvel Kids page at Disney.co.uk. These games included all of our favourite super heroes in a range of adventures that not only offer a lot of fun (and at different levels of difficulty to challenge all ages) but are also educational too. You can find a wide range of games at casinos-zonder-vergunning.com I have enjoyed playing these games with Joe over the half term. He has been taking part in…

Megableu are a company who create great games that take can be played and enjoyed by all the family. These games are fun and exciting, and often incorporate various levels of difficulty so they can be enjoyed by children (and adults) of all ages. With Halloween in mind, we were sent a couple of games from Megableu, Ghost Hunt Evolution and Creepy Hand. Creepy…

New Giveaway with Batman Unlimited.
When super heroes come to mind, there is no doubt that our kids (and let’s face it, ourselves) can never get too much of Batman. From Adam West and Bert Ward in the 1960s, to the film versions starring Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jack Nicholson – darker than the 1960s TV show, but still with an element of tongue-in-cheek, and right up to date with the Christopher Nolan movies, Batman has the power to entice and excite in equal measures. With the recent film versions being of a decidedly adult nature, it has been left to DC Kids to fly the flag for kids with the child friendly cartoon…

Hawkins Bazaar – Toys for Little boys and big boys
It’s around this time of year that I start to plan Christmas. Yes, it may seem a little early to some (and a little late to others!) but due to having Joe’s birthday very close to Christmas, along with two family wedding anniversaries, I find a little forward planning works well for me. Part of that planning involves writing about Christmas present ideas for Joe and Pete, and while Joe used to be very easy, now he is solely into football, this is not the case. And, as for Pete, what do you buy the man who seems to have everything? Hawkins Bazaar is actually an answer to those questions.…
