Brantano’s Walk to school for charity campaign
My son has returned to school today, after a very long, but amazingly fun. school holiday. So it seems only fitting that one of today’s posts should be linked to going back to school in some way, and Brantano’s partnership with road safety charity Brake, is definitely something worth shouting about. Brantano, famed for their high quality, low cost shoes, have been doing some research into how children get to and from school. Their research has shown that only a third of children and parents regularly walk to and from school every week. One of the reasons given for this was that was that many parents feel the route between…

Beautiful Colours of India
If I was to write a list of all the places I would love to visit in the World, India would be very close to the top. Who wouldn’t want to experience the beauty of the Taj Mahal up close, or enjoy the tranquility of Goa. The spices, the hustle and bustle, and the vibrancy of Indian cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai all both fascinate and delight in equal measures, and a beautiful and colourful infographic put together by Great Rail Journeys has only served to increase my fascination with India even more. National Geographic Society’s Keith Bellows sums it up beautifully in a lovely quote:- “I had been…

A trip to Mahon
I have been to Menorca on many occasions, it is our holiday destination of choice since we started taking Joe abroad. However, I had never actually been to Mahon – we had merely used the airport, then jumped on a coach to our holiday destination. We decided that this year we would take a proper trip to Menorca’s Capital city and have a little explore. I have to say I totally fell in love with Mahon. It combines stunning coastline (it is Europe’s 2nd largest natural harbour) with interesting architecture that shows a range of influences on the city historically. Much like Ciutadella, the former capital of Menorca that I…

Into the Blue are celebrating Super hero dads
In real life a super hero doesn’t fly whilst wearing a cape, nor does he have super muscles of steel, he certainly doesn’t save the world. Instead he can be the person who you can always turn to, the one who you know would always be there for you in times of happiness or trouble, one who can make you laugh and smile on even the bleakest days. Yes, the dads in my life are pretty super, even though I say it myself. If you are still trying to decide what to get for your super dad this Father’s Day (now less than 2 weeks away), maybe you should take…

Yondi Pillows for Big Kids
For many children, long car journeys are the perfect opportunity to have a nap. A mixture of tiredness, bored over endless traffic jams on the UKs motorways and sometimes the heat of the car make it very hard for kids to stay awake. Unfortunately, this can lead to situations of sore neck, with heads lolling to one side for want of something more comfortable than the average car back seat. So I personally think that the latest invention from Trunki, the Yondi Pillow for big kids, is a great, practical idea that may make journeys a more comfortable for little ones. The Yondi pillow is a soft neck pillow that…
