Christmas Gift Guide: Ideas For Children
Continuing with my Christmas gift guides, today I am turning to children, and some ideas that may appeal to them. As ever, I will continue to add ideas to this guide, so please bookmark the post to return and see what else I have found. There are lots of different ideas for children here, and remember that there are also lots of free games that can be found online to pass the time during school holidays, including connect 4 online, an online spin on the perennial favourite.
The Paw Patrol Range From Spinmaster
Can you believe it is 10 years since Paw Patrol first appeared, delighting children everywhere? No, me neither, but it is true, and the animated series about a team of action heroes who just happen to be dogs continues to go from strength to strength, gaining a new audience every year. This Christmas, to tie in with the smash hit Paw Patrol film that was released this Summer, Spinmaster has a whole new range of Paw Patrol tie in toys.
The ‘PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ toys are perfect for young fans who love the dogs. There is the ‘Figures Gift Set’ which is available at Very.co.uk and features Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma and Skye action figures that are perfect for imaginative play, whilst there are also individual packs that feature each dog with their preferred mode of transport – i.e. Zuma with his transporting toy car. There are larger gift sets, or the small individual dog packs, generally something for every price point.
You can find a wide range of Paw Patrol Toys at Argos
Pokémon Fuecoco Plush – 8-Inch Pokémon Plush
Pokémon is a phenomenon that continues to grow, and for the younger fans, a very cute Pokémon Fuecoco Plush – 8-Inch Pokémon Plush could be a lovely Christmas present and stocking filler. These are gorgeous cuddly toys made from super soft material that is just made to be loved, and as these are part of a range that echoes the TV series, your child go could on to collect them all.
You can find the whole range of Pokémon toys by visiting Pokemon Center
A Jigsaw – Christmas Fun by Lénïac Leger
A project I have featured before is the brilliant Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA) – a co-operative of artists who through accident, illness or disability paint using only their mouths or feet. They have some stunning Christmas products which would make a perfect, and also worthwhile, gift idea this festive season.
The inspiring artists create beautiful designs which are then made into cards and products and sold to provide the artists financial independence. I love the Children’s Giant Floor Puzzle ‘Christmas Fun’, an extremely cute and lovely 24 piece, XL pieces designed by LÉNÏAC LEGER.
Madd Gear Carve Rize Foldable Light Up Wheel Scooter From Skates
A foldaway scooter is a great present at any time of the year, as it is a fun item that is something that can be used in both a small space like a garden, and a larger space like the park. It is a brilliant way to keep your child active and healthy, and the foldable aspect of this means that it is easy to store, and to transport in the boot of your car.
When it comes to Foldable scooters, Skates.co.uk is king, with a wide range of scooters suitable for children of all ages, and again coming in at many different price ranges to suit all budgets. My pick is the MADD GEAR CARVE RIZE FOLDABLE LIGHT UP WHEEL SCOOTER, which is suitable for a younger rider and has light-up wheels, height adjustable handlebars and lightweight yet durable construction.
This is a present that will be just brilliant, particularly when we start to head into warmer weather and is a great way to get children outside into the fresh air.
You can view all Skates scooters by visiting the website here.
A Junior Tennis Racket from TennisHQ
Following on from a scooter, another great way to get children outside, and enjoying some fresh air, is through the encouragement of sporting activities. TennisHQ is dedicated to all things Tennis, and I love the fact that they do junior tennis rackets that are perfect for smaller hands. With high quality brands like Wilson, you are ensured that your tennis loving youngster can be gifted a racket that will definitely improve their strength and serve.
The Wilson US Open Junior Tennis Racket is an excellent option for young players looking to break into the world of tennis. With an AirLite frame construction, this racket is lightweight and durable, prioritising ease-of-use and playability above all else on the court.
Check out the size range and also the player level of your chosen racket.

Fat Brain Pretendables – Bakery Set
Toys that encourage creativity and imaginative play are always popular gift ideas, and the Fat Brain Pretendables bakery set fits the bill on both counts.
Budding bakers can cook up some sweet treats with the Pretendables Bakery Set! Crack the hook-and-loop egg into the bowl, add baking mix, and stir with the spinning mixer. The crate transforms into an oven and once baked, decorate your treats with sprinkles and icing. Get ready for homemade deliciousness and nurture your little one’s love of baking!
Perfect for girls or boys, for those who love to help in the kitchen, and have budding Masterchef aspirations, this is a truly fun gift idea.

The Best Worst Ice Cream Game From Exploding Kittens
Games that can be enjoyed by the whole family are always a hit at Christmas, and help children to play together, take their turn, and maybe even learn something into the bargain. Exploding Kittens has a range of new games this festive season. My personal fave is The Best Worst Ice Cream.
The Best Worst Ice Cream: This simple yet strategic game features whacky ice cream flavors like pizza, eyeballs, and earthworms that get kids laughing. Based on equal parts lucky guesses and skill, both kids and adults compete evenly for the win!
The Best Worst Ice Cream is available from Amazon and you can find it here.

I hoping this Christmas would be another clear day so we can start off with a walk around town and enjoy the silence. I hope our Christmas Day dinner works out well, turkey still moist and none of the trimmings burnt. I hope the kids will remain entertained and really feel the spirit of Christmas and be grateful we hav a complete family to celebrate Christmas with.
