Duchess Kate and Jessica Ennis bring glamour to the Sports Personality Awards
The Sports personality of the year awards are always a clear sign that it is nearly Christmas, and this year the ceremony was more exciting than ever. As well as having so many candidates deserving of winning the title after the greatest sporting year for Britain in living memory, the ceremony also heralded the first public engagement for the Duchess of Cambridge after her recent stay in hospital.
Kate looked incredibly elegant and glossy in an emerald-green, v necked gown from Alexander McQueen that had a rather sexy front split detail. The slightly puffed sleeves, fitted Cumberband style waistband and long skirt were demure, and the colour, emerald-green, has been named as the patone colour of 2013, showing Kate is clearly on the ball when it comes to her trends.
Jessica Ennis won the runner-up trophy and was also a clear winner in the style stakes. The beautiful heptathlete also had the whole of twitter seemingly gasping over the perfection of her bottom in her form-fitting red dress from Victoria Beckham which fitted her to perfection. I am a huge fan of Jessica’s style, and this dress was another classic look, clean lines, without frills and oozing sensuality.
