Duchess of Cambridge Maternity Special
After a few sporadic glimpses of Kate since Christmas, the last two weeks have been a real joy for Kate watches, with the Duchess looking gorgeous and healthy, and, as ever super stylish as she has attended a wedding, a public engagement, had some fun on the ski slopes, and enjoyed a little retail therapy.
What I’m really loving about Kate’s maternity style at the moment is that she is showing that you do not have to sacrifice your signature look to accommodate your baby bump. Wrap style dresses and looser fitting coats are perfect to maintaining elegant style, and yet still remaining comfortable.
One of the best maternity brands, Seraphine, has been quick to show you can get the Kate look’s that she has been wearing so far throughout her pregnancy. More interesting still, the brand has also shown how Kate’s pre-pregnancy looks can be adapted into stunning maternity styles.
Last weekend saw Kate attend the wedding in the Swiss Alps of Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mark Tomlinson. This saw Kate again adapting pieces of her wardrobe to suit her pregnancy shape. Kate has a neat bump, so the addition of belts worn as empire lines, or simple removed altogether, means that pieces like the Max Mara studio dress can continue to be worn deep into the pregnancy. Kate wore a lovely blush pink coat that has yet to be identified, but contrasted so prettily with the choice of brown accessories.

 Fun on the slopes
The pregnant (and usually very sporty) Duchess took no chances on the ski slopes, but did seem to be enjoying the early Spring sunshine as she watched William and enjoyed a walk in the snow. She was wearing a very pretty cotton top from Zara, that is from a past seasons collection. Again, the loose design makes this perfect wear for a small baby bump, and the design is a lovely piece for wearing with jeans and a cardi this Spring.

Grimsby Visit
Yesterday Kate paid a visit to Grimsby . This was the visit that was soon to become infamous after it was suggested that Kate had almost said she was having a’ d…..aughter.’ Kate recycled another great piece from her wardrobe, her Hobbs Celeste coat, and teamed it with a dress from Great Plains. The dress is still available on the Great Plains site, and it is also definitely worth checking out the Great Plains sale at House of Fraser as it currently houses some wonderful bargain pieces.

And so to yesterday, when Kate was back on the Kings Road shopping at one of her favourite haunts, Peter Jones. The gossip is that Kate has her eye on this Seraphine dress in classic black. For £45, this is a real bargain piece that could be dressed up and down as the pregnancy progresses.

Do think Kate is doing maternity style well so far, but she is just so small for midway through.

Naturally slim so may not gain much weight, maybe she will just go huge at 8 months or something!!!
