Enjoy a sun drenched fashion summer

My sister once had a theory that your favourite time of year related to the season you were born in. She has always loved Winter, despite the cold weather and short days, and was born on a very cold January day. I, on the other hand, just love a sun drenched summer, full of long hot days. Summer barbecues, days at the beach, lots of time in the garden, all of these are amongst my favourite things. It just so happens that I am a June baby, so maybe her theory carries some weight after all?

I think part of my love for Summer comes from loving the summer wardrobe. Sundresses made of cotton and cheesecloth are major fashion loves for me. I adore boho styling which I really thinks works best when the sun is shining, and when I think of my style idols, I can honestly say they are queens of summer dressing. How often did the episodes turn to Autumn and Winter in Sex and the City – not that often as it happens. Kate Moss just rocks beach and festival trends with aplomb, Jessica Alba knows that a maxi dress and flat sandals can work in the city as well as on the Promenade and I love Harley Viera Newton’s polished summer chic. Yes, it is summer style that makes me smile.

I’ve been perusing Esprit’s summer collection and have literally fell in love with so many of their pieces. The brand takes all my personal summer staples like white dresses, and beachy dress looks and gives them that European finesse.
