Fashion Focus: H&M Summer Treats
In recent times, H&M has become a real shopping favourite for me, a definite destination on any shopping trip. It is always full of beautiful, fashion forward pieces, but doesn’t forget the classics and the wardrobe basics that we all need. If you are an Instagram fashion lover, you could not fail to spot piece after piece from H&M, currently it is a voluminous, hot pink dress that is oh so reminiscent of Villanelle wearing Molly Goddard, last season it was the black and white dotted dress that was also slightly oversized, and yet elegant and beautiful too. (I succumbed to that one, you can see it on my Insta feed here.)
H&M was the one shop that I really wanted to look around physically, even though they do have a pretty good website online, I find sizing can be all over the place, so it really is a case of seeing pieces in the flesh rather than taking a guess. Social distancing is really well done in their stores, and as all the Birmingham stores are very spacious, and I go out really early, it felt like having the shop to myself.
There were so many gorgeous pieces to see, here are just a few of them.
Lots of Glorious Pink
Absolutely my favourite colour, I had to buy the skirt below and wore it for a family day out this weekend (you can see that here.)
H&M has so many lovely pieces in this particular gorgeous shade of bubblegum pink. I love the puff sleeves of this dress, but the colour also works well in a more minimal style for the oversized shirt that would make a great beach cover up.
Not quite pink but how gorgeous is this dress. Love heart eyes incoming.
Blue Classics
If pink is not your thing, this rather gorgeous shade of blue may be a better choice, especially when it is used for classics like this mac and blazer.
Cool Prints
H&M has always done prints so well, and the tropical and botanical patterns this year are perfect for a staycation, offering a Summery print even if we have to stay at home.
Crisp WhiteÂ
White is always perfect for Summer, looking cool and crisp. This milkmaid style dress is gorgeous, and the blouse would be great with denim shorts or even under dungarees.
This Dress
What’s not to love about this dress, it is such a gorgeous piece that could be dressed up or down and is just £17.99. Absolute bargain buy!
