If you are not a fan of the beautiful game, now might just be the time to take a holiday somewhere remote, without TV, because in just 3 days from now, Euro 2016 will be beginning in style, with host nation and favourites France taking on Romania. A summer of football, flags, klaxons and seriously hot men will begin. And hallelujah to that!
As a football fan I can honestly say I am so excited about this, and looking forward to Joe enjoying his first tournament since he became football crazy. My heart is hoping for an England win, my head is telling me it will be France, and I’m hoping that my total man crush Olivier Giroud will win the golden boot as top scorer. (But more of him later.)
So, this post is dedicated to all things football and style related. First we have the England team, looking seriously stylish when they left via Luton Airport yesterday, as tailored by Marks and Spencer. If you are still looking for a Father’s Day present, and England tie could be the answer to your prayers. I love the suit that the England team wore, and also the fact it comes in a range of cuts – from slim fit to tailored, and also in a larger fit.
Sunday saw the celebrity/professional teams taking to the Old Trafford pitch for Soccer Aid. The suits on this occasion came from Reiss, and once again, they were smart and stylish. You can now buy both the England suit, and the rest of the World suit (my pick) from the Reiss website.
Finally we have Arsenal, and that man Giroud again. Duchamp London have been named as Arsenal Football Club’s Official Suit Partner. Their suits will be worn by the first-team squad and manager Arsène Wenger on selected official Club appearances, including all home matches in the Barclay’s Premier League and UEFA Champions League. The navy and red combination is gorgeous, and Giroud looks frankly devastating in it. If ever there was a man made to wear a suit , it was Olivier.
