Friday Fashion: Tu Clothing At Sainsbury’s

One of the things I missed during lockdown was visiting the larger branch of supermarket. I made an effort to shop local, avoiding large supermarkets with their large queues and instead using my local farm shop and a local, but largish, branch of the Coop.

But this week, with lockdown continuing to ease, I finally went back into a branch of Sainsbury’s and was able to enjoy a quick walk around the Tu Clothing section. Tu is my favourite brand of supermarket clothing, I think it is the nicest quality, the best fit and the loveliest designs, all at a pretty decent, affordable price point.

Here are some of the clothes and accessories that caught my eye.

This is just a perfect, casual outfit. The top has small stones on that are hard to see in the picture, but is really very pretty. Great if you’re starting back on the school run in September.

These are a really cool design, and a pretty gorgeous colour too.

This is my first want piece, I love a neutral raffia bag to wear with anything and use every day. I want to team this with the print dress further down this post for my upcoming trip to Bournemouth.

OK, I am obsessed with this tuxedo style jacket, just look at that sleeve detail. This is a killer jacket that I really need in my life. Perfect with a white vest underneath and a pair of skinny jeans.

Duck egg is just a wonderful colour and this jumper is beautiful. Loving the puffed shoulders and the raised dot design, only £20, such a bargain!

So this is the dress I want to team that bag with. A Marrakesh style print that is gorgeous and vibrant, and a lovely shape and cotton fabric. This is the perfect Summer dress, but I’d love it with a oversized cream chunky knit on cooler Autumn days.

Another lovely, summery print, a piece of 1950’s kitsch for £16.

This is the sort of top that just needs frayed denim shorts to take you through the rest of Summer, and hopefully into an Indian Summer.

Finally, this is a beaut. A lovely ice cream pink, with a soft, easy to wear shape.  The shorts next to it and pretty cool too. Think Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
