Ridolfi is very careful not to overpower the delicate aromas of Sangiovese with the taste of oak. For this wine, large barrels of Slavonian oak were used. This introduces a subtle and almost invisible flavour which serves to highlight the natural elegant aromas of the Sangiovese grape.
