How Pippa Middleton solved the tricky dilemma of dressing for British Summer!

The British Summer. Not great, is it? One minute you’re basking in glorious sunshine, the next minute you routing through your bag for a brolly! Even the hottest days have a tendency to go cool that catches you by surprise. But one style star seems to have British Summertime dressing down to a tee. Step forward Pippa Middleton.

Pippa always seems to be dressed stylishly, yet appropriately, for our ever-changing climate. She wears pretty summer dresses, but adds a denim or leather jacket just in case. She will wear jeans, but add a cotton top and a pair of shades that make the outfit scream summer. She will wear a great white dress, surely the shade of Summer, but that dress is cashmere by new label Tania, so it’s snug and cosy when the sun goes in. Here are some more of Pippa’s summer hits.

The pretty dress + jacket/cardi combo is definitely a Pippa fave. The dresses are often High Street, coming from Zara and French Connection amongst others, although some are more expensive (the striped dress is BCBG Max Azria and the white dress is the Tania cashmere).  Add a jacket and you are ready for whatever the weather throws at you. Pippa’s quilted leather jacket seems to be the new fave, and was worn 3 times last week.

Jeans can be made more summer friendly for chillier days by adding delicate silk blouses, or tops in a bright colour, lie Pippa’s stunning coral top. Pippa isn’t afraid to wear boots in Summer, but also wears sandals and wedges with her jeans. I like the way she mixes up her denim shades to give variety to this casual aspect of her wardrobe.
