It has to be said that, as we get older, covering up the daily cracks becomes harder. The dark shadows under our eyes, the blemishes and uneven skin tone, and the general dullness of the skin needs more help, but, at the same time, you don’t want your make up to be so heavy it feels like you’re wearing a mask. Lately I have been trialling some products from It Cosmetics, and I think I have found the perfect balance between coverage, and still having natural appearing skin.

Your Skin is Better CC+ Illumination

This is an award winning, iconic CC+ Cream with SPF50 that is a bit of a wonder product. It colour corrects, illuminates and also includes an anti-aging hydrating serum.

The cream comes in a pump action tube so you can use it sparingly, and It recommends you do this with a brush, using one or two pumps to add the coverage where it is needed, with the recommendation being a smooth, even layer. This is a product that can replace moisturiser, serum, foundation etc, so it can also be a major time saver in your morning routine. I like the fact that the tube is easy enough to add to your bag if you need to freshen up during the day. I also like the fact that the cream is matte, so your face isn’t shiny once it is applied. I also loved the pretty, fresh scent the cream has.

Bye Bye Under Eye Waterproof Concealer

This is another wonder product. Another that you can use sparingly, but has great results. The under eye area is one that really does show the wear and tear of every day life, especially if you are feeling unwell or are not getting enough sleep.

The Bye Bye Under Eye is a full coverage, anti-aging and waterproof concealer. It has quite a thick consistency, hence you only need a small amount that can be blended with your fingers before being applied to the delicate under eye area, you can use a brush to blend it in to your CC+ cream to give smooth coverage.

I love that there are so many shades to choose from, so you can find something close to your skin tone, and the fact that it is waterproof is also a bonus as I get quite watery eyes at times, especially in the wind, or when I am tired.

Bye Bye Pores Pressed Translucent Powder

Pores are the bane of many women’s lives, being large and unsightly and spoiling the overall look of the skin. This is especially true for those, like me, with oily skin. That is why I love the Bye Bye Pores Pressed translucent powder, which van be worn over your CC Cream and foundations in order to give a lovely, almost airbrushed look to the skin, that gives you a base for make up, or allows you to look make up free.

The powder comes in a glossy palette complete with mirror and brush, and is easy to apply. A little goes a long way and it works by blurring the look of the pores, which then makes them appear smaller and less easy to identify.
