It’s LK Bennett again for Duchess Kate..and it’s all about the peplum.

The Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge made a visit to Leicester today, and, as usual, all eyes were on the Duchess or, more specifically, what she was wearing.

Kate returned to a stunning high street dress and jacket from one of her favourite sources, LK Bennett. The dress was the teal version of the Davina dress which she teamed with the Jude belted jacket and a neat little hat from John Lock. This has to be one of my favourite looks that Kate has worn since the Royal wedding. The silhouette of this look is so on trend with the peplum effect of the jacket, and the whole outfit reminds me of Jacques Fath pencil skirts and chic nipped in jackets from the 1950s. I also think the hat is perfect for that beautiful face and of course, her hair was super glossy.

I have searched the LK Bennett site, and as can be expected, both the Davina jacket and the Jude jacket have completely sold out in Kate’s colour combination, but there are other colours available, including Midnight, and a rather fabulous biscuit brown shade that is currently reduced at John Lewis.

I love that Kate decided to wear the peplum effect today. This was a huge story for Spring/Summer, with Jason Wu sending models down the catwalk in peplum dresses. You can get the look on the High Street from Dorothy Perkins, who have a fabulous collection of peplum style dresses on offer this season.
