Kate dazzles at the Derby.
Be still my beating heart. The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance at the Epsom Derby today, and to say she looked good would be the understatement of the year. She looked absolutely dazzling!
The jury is still out on the designer of her immaculate chic outfit, and whether it was a designer number or a High Street find (the jacket may be from Joseph), but what I do know is that the off-white dress and jacket looked absolutely amazing against her Seychelles suntan. Teamed with classic nude accessories, including a tiny clutch bag, and a gloriously neat 1930s style fascinator, this was a super-stylish choice and one of my favourite Kate looks ever.
What really caught my eye today was Kate’s neat chignon hairstyle. Teamed with the little hat, I couldn’t help thinking that Kate was echoing the style of royal style icons of the past, Princess Marina and the Duchess of Windsor. They both wore these sorts of hats in the 1930s. Take a look at the pictures below.
Kate was not the only Royal making a stylish splash at Epsom today. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie looked pretty and frothy in summery outfits a far cry from Those Royal wedding outfits. I particularly loved Beatrice’s hat!
Whilst Kate was wooing the crowds with her impeccable style and beauty, the other Middleton beauty for once looked less than fragrant. Pippa was taking part in the Blenheim Triathlon which she completed in just over 25 minutes. The only fashion news of note being her Bulgari sunglasses.
