Kate dazzles at the Derby.
Be still my beating heart. The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance at the Epsom Derby today, and to say she looked good would be the understatement of the year. She looked absolutely dazzling! The jury is still out on the designer of her immaculate chic outfit, and whether it was a designer number or a High Street find (the jacket may be from Joseph), but what I do know is that the off-white dress and jacket looked absolutely amazing against her Seychelles suntan. Princess Beatrice has the last laugh over THAT hat!
It was the hat that launched a thousand quips! Designed by Phillip Treacy, we asked – did it look like a toilet seat, a telletubby, a crab or all manner of other things. It was the hat which had its own Facebook page, with thousands of followers, and was much discussed on television, in magazines and on Twitter. Phillip Treacy – Mad hatter or Millinery Genius?
If there was one person who faced criticism in the aftermath of the Royal Wedding, it was Philip Treacy. The Milliner to the stars created almost 40 hats and fascinators for the occasion, with some being better received than others. And none were ridiculed more than the creations worn by the Royal Princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie.
