Kate Middleton – Latest Outfits
It’s been a busy week for Duchess Kate. The state visit of the Chinese President has seen Kate attend her first state banquet, and she has also met Jackie Chan and attended multiple occasions in Scotland. For lovers of Kate’s style, it has been a real fashion bonanza, because she has, quite frankly, looked amazing for every occasion, with the Dolce and Gabbana Marsala dress being one of my favourite Kate looks ever.
Here are three outfits from this week in a bit more detail.
Look 1 – State Banquet.
Red is always a great colour for Kate, and the Jenny Packham dress was a beautiful, formal choice. This dress did remind me of the sort of styles Princess Diana opted for in the late 80s for some reason, and I did think that Kate played it just right for the occasion – with red being a perfect colour for China, and the dress being elegant and demure.
Red is a great choice for Christmas formal occasions and there are some stunning red looks around if you want to take inspiration from Kate for the upcoming party season.
Look 2 – Dolce and Gabbana Lace
This is one of my favourite Kate Middleton looks ever. Some have commented that it is a shame Kate didn’t opt for purely British designers during this week, but this marsala lace dress was a spectacular triumph for Kate, with the lace managing to be both classic and totally modern. It is just the epitome of chic, and totally what a 21st century princess should be choosing to wear.
With this shade being the colour of the season, and lace being a style staple, there are lots of ways to incorporate this sort of look into your wardrobe.
Look 3 – Christopher Kane in Scotland
Kate wore one of the brightest stars of British fashion for a series of appointments in Scotland (Dundee to be precise.) The Christopher Kane coat and dress is another sleek and stylish look that is perfect in its minimalism.
A blue coat is a great alternative to classic black, it adds a little bit of colour to the wardrobe but seems to be a colour that suits most hair colours and skin tones.

I’m not a fan of the lace but I L-L-LOVE the ‘GIUGLIA DRESS’ and all of the red ones to be honest, Kate’s so beautiful *jealous* 🙂
