Loving Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura – Now at Selfridges

Karl Lagerfeld is finally revealing his fun side in his latest collaboration. The Chanel supremo has got together with cult beauty brand Shu Uemura to create the fun and utterly gorgeous Mon Shu collection.  The beauty collection features both Shu Uemura’s current favourites and a host of brand new colours, beautifully wrapped in new packaging that showcases Mon Shu Girl, illustrated, of course, by Mr Lagerfeld himself.

I love this collection, which combines really cute products with premium beauty. The eye palettes each contain 6 different colours, along with a brush and blender, my personal favourite are the velvet shades that could help you to create the perfect smoky eyes that would help you smoulder at all those Christmas parties.

I have been lucky enough to have been sent one of the nail polishes in the beige shade. This is the perfect nude nail, clean and fresh looking, but you can also use this as a basis for your own Karl nail art as each polish also comes with a very sweet set of nail stickers featuring Mon Shu girl and an iconic 1960sesque red, white and black graphic design. I think this is the perfect stocking filler for a beauty addict.

As well as gorgeous beauty products, the collection also has unique versions of the tools that every girl needs in her cosmetic bag. As a woman who simply cannot apply false eyelashes, there are a great pair of eyelash curlers, again adorned by Mon Shu girl. There is also a really useful mini brush kit that is handbag sized.
