Loving ‘Penelope Tree’ collection from White Stuff

Now, I’m not sure if this new collection is named after the legendary 1960s model and paramour of David Bailey, or if they just used the name because it so cute it perfectly fits the White Stuff ethos, but I do know one thing. This collection surprised me in so many ways.

I usually associate White Stuff with well made clothes that are perfect for the weekend, stylish – yes, but more casual than dressy, and not something you would necessarily think of as workwear. This collections turns all those assumptions on their heads. The Penelope Tree line has prints that you associate with White Stuff but these are quieter, more refined prints. There is also less jersey and cotton, with favour given to heavier fabrics and knitwear. My favourite piece is the stunning Doll dress – a seriously glamorous work dress with a beautifully draped neckline.
