Paris Fashion Week – Front Row Style.

Paris fashion week is well-known for the starriest and most stylish front rows, and this year has been no exception. From Princess Charlene who shone in gold on the front row at Akris, to Clemence Poesy and Uma Thurman flying the flag for Chanel, the front rows have been a good combination of star power and style power.

Here are some of my favourite front row looks, and how you can channel the look for a fraction of the cost.

Carinne Roitfeld and Jennifer Hudson both looked fabulous in the simple, but very stylish pencil skirt and shirt combo.  Pencil skirts are a hot story this year,it was only last week that the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted buying a green version from Topshop, and they can only ever look chic. You could take inspiration from this look on the high street at Oasis and Miss Selfridge. Of course, the amount of buttons you leave open is up to you…

Little black dresses

Olivia, Clemence and Uma prove that the little black dress can mean many things to many different people. Olivia wears the daring see-through creation to dramatic effect. This can be copied on the high street in a range of maxi skirts with sheer panels. Clemence looks so pretty in this embellished design that has a Black swan feel to it, whilst Uma is the epitome of traditional Chanel, in the timeless boucle style jacket and frayed edged dress. All three looks show that, once again, black is back.

Princess Power

Whilst London Fashion Week  had P-Middy at Alice Temperley, Akris had the lovely Princess Charlene, who took her place a few seats away from Anna Wintour. She wore a golden Akris dress and sandals. Golden/Champagne shades look so much more flattering on most skin types than nude shades, and Reiss has a range of beautiful dresses in most caramel/gold shades.

The Bright’s

Liv Tyler and Poppy Delavigne were on hand to bring some colour and pattern to the proceedings. Liv’s directional floral tunic style dress was an unusual style which I’m not altogether sure of, but I did love the bright flower print. Poppy Delavigne went for a gorgeous pleated dress in one of the seasons hottest colours, royal blue. The block shade looked great against her blonde hair as she posed outside the Dior show. You can take your style inspirations from Liv’s large flowers and Poppy’s shade of blue this winter.

Alexa

Alexa Chung arrived at the Stella McCartney show very late, but showed star quality later at the YSL show in her black and red satin dress. Her look was probably my favourite from Paris, just loving those pockets in that dress!
