Pearl Lowe continues to bring that Vintage feel to Peacocks.
I was recently lucky enough to have a Twitter conversation with Pearl Lowe, where I was able to tell her how much I loved her feminine, vintage inspired designs for Peacocks. I explained that I was a curvy girl who had virtually lived in one of her designs over the summer, and that I couldn’t believe just how flattering the designs were for those with fuller figures. Pearl explained that she designs dresses that she could wear herself, and so they are made to suit, and indeed enhance girls with curves!

So I am over the moon to bring you the story and looks from Pearl’s latest collection for Peacocks, which amazingly, is collection number 7. Again fusing Pearl’s two favourite decades, the 1940s and 1970s, this is another collection of beautiful, vintage inspired dresses that are designed to be flattering. Whether using the ultra comfortable stretch jersey fabric, or the choice of teadress style, these dresses just create that hourglass physique. They cinch in waistlines, have v necklines to enhance cleavage, and come in plain and printed designs. I want each and every one!

The inspiration for the new collection is those rock chick heroines of the 1970s, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell. It fuses two of Pearl’s cherished fashion era’s, the 40’s and 70’s. 1940s style vintage dresses are mixed with 70’s retro prints inspired by printed head scarves worn by her rock and roll heroes. (such a fantastic inspirational start part).

Pearl says: “My Autumn Winter collection is inspired by my all time favourite singer Stevie Nicks. The collection boasts a mixture of 60’s and 70’s prints which I’ve combined with my trademark lace and silhouettes to create the perfect eclectic outfit for women of all shapes and sizes.”

Beautiful dresses, wonderfully modelled as ever by Pearl’s oh-so-stylish daughter Daisy, and with no price above £45, I think every wardrobe deserves a Pearl Lowe for Peacocks dress in it.
