Philip Armstrong Show at Harvey Nichols – All those dresses…

Christmas got off to an incredible start in Birmingham with a very special fashion show  dedicated to the design duo Philip Armstrong. With Philip and Tony Burke Armstrong in attendance, the very lovely Lucy Kite from ITV presenting the show (and looking totally resplendent in a 1960s style Philip Armstrong dress) and a host of the Midlands top fashionista’s in attendance. this was always going to be something very special.

But it was the dresses that really stole the show. For those who believed that Philip Armstrong was just about short and flirty, this was the show that proved that the label is about so much more than that. Neat cocktail dresses with pencil skirts proved that this is a label that loves the hourglass shape, whilst the full length evening dresses meshed total glamour with a level of the demure that I had not expected. For those who don’t do dresses, the catsuits and jumpsuits screamed Rihanna, and added glittery, Emma Peel style sex appeal. This was a fashion show where every single look was just perfect.

See for yourself.

The show was totally amazing, definitely one of the best collections I have ever seen. The night was made even more completely surreal by being able to interview the duo afterwards.

I can’t finish this post without a great big thanks to Gemma Glover and Next for gifting me the stunning dress that I wore on the night. The flocked lace pencil dress was just glorious, very flattering and easy to wear as the material hugged curves. I loved the wine colour which made such a nice change from black and definitely had a Christmassy feel to it. The dress is still in stock, so if you are looking for something for New Year’s Eve, then I would definitely suggest you take a look at this one, and at the whole dress collection from Next.

Hi my name is Amanda and I have a question I saw Lucy Hale wear the Philip Armstrong Pink smudge or cloud dress that Lucy Kite is wearing in the very top photo I was wondering if I can still buy that dress and if so wear? I am going to my last homecoming dance for my college as I am graduating with my BA in graphic design in a May and when Lucy Hale wore that dress in 2013 I fell in love with that dress and have been on the search for it since then
I hope to hear back for you
    Thank you
    Amanda Benson
