Pink and blue floral pleated dress from Yours Clothing

I think it is true that most of us have comfort zones when it comes to clothing. There are just things that we gravitate to, we feel comfortable wearing certain things, and they become an easy option.But sometimes we see an item that we just fall in love with, even though it may not be something we would usually choose. That is how I felt about the Pink and Blue floral pleated dress from Yours Clothing.

It has to be said this is not the sort of dress that I would normally choose, mainly because it is strapless. I always worry about strapless dresses – I have a big bust and therefore fear that the support is not going to be sufficient. But this dress is just so beautiful, with a lovely knee-length, full pleated skirt and a glorious, summer ready print, that when I was offered the chance to review something from Yours Clothing, this is the dress I chose.

I was not disappointed with this dress, it is absolutely beautiful, truly something special. The back of the dress has an elasticized panel which makes it easy to get on, and ensures it stays in the right place. The bust is padded and has a lovely sweetheart style neckline that is not too low and revealing, making this a great choice for a summer wedding or garden party. The PU band around the waist helps give the dress definition, acting in the same way a sash belt would, but just adding a slight edge to the prettiness. Fully lined and with a stunning, pleated full skirt, this dress does make you feel very glamorous and princessy.

I styled my dress two ways. As the perfect dress for a wedding, I added nude accessories to balance out the gorgeous colours. For a more casual look, I wore this with a denim jacket and flat pumps. I think it works both ways.

I’m looking forward to wearing this dress on my upcoming holidays with some jewelled sandals and a statement necklace. I just love this dress – I think it may now be the prettiest dress I own.
