Pippa Middleton continues to show her Autumn style

She may be unlucky in love,but in terms of style, Pippa Middleton still seems to be ticking all the right boxes. November has seen the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge showing off yet more of that highly copied wardrobe as she continues her off to work fashion parade. With the exception of Anna Friel’s stage door parade of fashion, I don’t think I can ever remember another woman who was so highly photographed going to and from work. Still, this gives plenty of opportunities to observe that work wardrobe in great detail.

This blue polo neck dress is a fabulous colour on Pippa, but polo neck styles are something that divide a lot of people. Grazia’s Polly Vernon believes they don’t suit anyone, either slim or curvy, but photographs like this one of Pippa prove that some girls can definitely get away with the look. I personally find them to be a bit like a straight jacket, but there are some exquisite examples on the High street that could seriously change my mind. Alternately, you could try the style with a cowl neck.

What I really like about Pippa’s outfit is the tuxedo style jacket with the silk lapels. This is the perfect day-to-night jacket and the good news is that there are lots of examples of this sort of jacket on the market at the moment with a good range of price points. Here are just a few examples.

This look from this week is a great classic look that shows that a stylish black coat can never be anything less than elegant. Although this is a low key outfit from Pippa, not lifted by her usual bright colours, this is winter dressing at its best. I love the idea of using a belt to change the look of your coat, this gives it a new look and breathes life into an old wardrobe favourite.
