One of the most supportive blogger groups around is UKBloggers. Whether you are looking for advice, opportunities or even just a chat, the UK Blogger forums, through their website, Twitter and Facebook, offer all those things, and a whole lot more. As a blogger I find them invaluable, a great community to be a part of.
Recently leading light of UK Bloggers, Sarah Bailey of Life in a Breakdown, had the fabulous idea to commission a series of necklaces that would appeal to bloggers. Using a range of phrases and images that bloggers would totally approve of, Sarah collaborated with Funky Laser to create a unique set of necklace designs that would appeal certainly to bloggers, and a couple of designs that would have universal appeal (time for tea anyone!). You can find the full details of the designs at http://www.lifeinabreakdown.com/shop/ but I was lucky enough to have been sent a ‘bloglife’ necklace to review.
The necklace is just lovely and will appeal to anyone who loves Funky Laser or Tatty Devine designs. The bloglife necklace is black perspex, but with a hint of sparkle that makes it eye-catching for any jewellery magpie. The black pendant is a lovely contrast to the silver chain, which is 16inches in length, making this sit nicely in a v neckline, or on a boat neck top (it looks great set against white.) The ‘bloglife’ pendant itself is 1cm in height, so it is not too big to be tacky looking, but is striking enough to attract attention. I also totally love that it incorporates a #hashtag into the design – where would bloggers be without a hashtag!
The necklace also comes beautifully gift boxed in a ‘Funky Laser Bespoke Service Design’ box. This makes it a lovely idea if you are looking for a gift for a blogger – especially with Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day on the way. These necklaces are so brilliant and unique that I’m sure anyone would be thrilled to receive one.
*I was sent a necklace for a honest review. I love it! All profits from the blog necklaces is going back into UK Bloggers to hopefully make it a bigger and better community.
