Reviewed – Lace and Jersey Dress from Kaliko
On Friday night I was lucky enough to attend the press night for the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s opening of The Nutcracker. It was really enjoyable, a truly wonderful night, and it was made even better by having the chance to wear another beautiful dress from Kaliko. I find that Kaliko dresses have a timeless elegant quality – you always feel good wearing them. This dress was no exception to the rule – I think it is just lovely.
The dress in question is ‘Lace and Jersey dress’, which is currently in the sale as Black Friday weekend continues. The dress is in a very soft jersey fabric, with plenty of stretch, and with ruching and draping detail on the waistband and skirt that make it the perfect dress for curves. It comes in a navy shade that is a nice alternative to black, and there is also a plum version too. (See it here.)

If you are looking for a dress that is as comfortable as it is pretty, then this is the dress for you. With gorgeous lacy sleeves, a knee-length skirt and with a beautiful lace bodice, this dress is glamorous without being revealing. It was a great dress to wear for the theatre because the jersey fabric is comfortable when sitting down – no tight skirt inching its way further and further up your leg, something that can happen in more form-fitting outfits.
With Black Friday sales continuing on Kaliko until Midnight tonight, I would definitely recommend a look at the dresses as you are sure to find something perfect for your special Christmas occasion. This dress is currently half normal price, a real good buy as I belief you could wear this year after year, Christmas after Christmas.
