Reviewed – Scarlett & Jo Print Asymmetric 2 piece dress
The lovely folks at Scarlett & Jo are celebrating the one year anniversary of the brands launch with a fabulous new collection, and I have been very honoured to have been sent one of the hero pieces of the collection for review. (You can see and read about the new range here.)
The Scarlett & Jo Print spot asymmetric 2 piece midi dress (phew! – quite a mouthful!) is a new concept for the brand, because it is a two piece dress, where both the pieces could also be worn separately to create totally different looks. The first layer is a great, midi length, sleeveless jersey dress, fabulously stretchy and great for holidays. An Empire line tunic makes up the second layer. This is semi sheer and very floaty, with a tie belt that sits under the bustline. This pretty piece would also look great worn over skinny jeans for a dressy evening look, or even over a swimming costume as a beach cover up.
I think this is a very glamorous dress that is ultimately an easy to wear piece. The two pieces come attached, but it is easier to separate them to put them on. The jersey dress is of a great quality, quite thick but very stretchy. I was wearing an 18, but do think I could easily size down in this as it is a generous size. The length is midi, on me it is just over the knee, so looks great with heels – I think flats would be a little frumpy with this style.
The tunic layer is very feminine and floaty, and is great if, like me, you carry your weight on your stomach. The fabric is just beautiful, I totally love the blue patterned circles that made this a perfect match for my Lola Rose pendant. I just added a pair of black heels and this was the perfect choice for a romantic Valentine’s evening meal.
I really love this pretty, feminine dress and know I will be wearing it a lot over the coming season. There is another version featuring a different colour and print which I have added below.

I agree with Fiona, it’s one of those dresses that you need to try on. You look lovely. Are you able to wear the top on its own with trousers? If so, what a great dress to take on a smart holiday x
