Reviewed: Warm Classic Poncho with Gloves From Stylesnbags
Well, if there was any doubt, the weather last week proved we are definitely in Autumn now. Heavy rain, lots of wind, chillier nights and crisper mornings all came in after the rather lovely Indian Summer we had been enjoying, and with that, it was time, once again to dig the jackets and coats out. Or, maybe it’s time instead grab for a gorgeous poncho. The warm classic poncho with gloves is from Polish brand Setin, who are available exclusively for UK customers at Stylesnbags.com, an online retailer based in Bristol, UK that sells products in the Fashion, Home Decor, Accessories and Beauty Categories. The Felicia poncho is a brilliant Autumn staple, stylish, elegant, and, because it comes with gloves, brilliant for keeping the arms warm as well as the body.
I love a good poncho, it offers the same warmth as wrapping a blanket around you, and yet it is also a practical option that offers freedom for your arms, and doesn’t leave you feeling overheated as a warm coat can sometimes do. It can work over both jeans and trousers, and also looks great with a short length dress, or a maxi skirt for a more boho look.
The warm classic poncho with gloves from Stylesnbags comes in a range of neutral shades that will work well with everything in your wardrobe. I have been wearing the grey shade which is a lighter, softer shade of grey, but it also comes in a melange grey if you prefer a darker shade. The knit is a weave pattern which gives it a cosy, chunky effect, and the neckline is a high and chunky turtleneck which can be folded over to give a sort of cowl effect. The neck also has cork style buttons which can be opened (not just there for effect) so that the neckline can be loosened and worn flat as a collar style.
The length of the poncho is 95cm, this means that it covers your tummy area, great if this is an area of your body where (like me) you carry weight and prefer to disguise. There is also plenty of stretch in this poncho, which is an acrylic and nylon blend. I tend to wear size 14-16 up top and this poncho, which is one size, is a really comfortable fit.
I have been wearing my poncho over cream jeans, and a long sleeved t-shirt top without the gloves, or a shorter sleeved top with the gloves. The one complaint of ponchos is often that they leave your arms cold, but when worn with the fingerless gloves that come with the poncho, this is no longer an issue and makes the combo really cuddly and snug, as well as stylish.
Overall, a poncho is a great piece to have in your wardrobe for Autumn, and this one from Stylesnbags is absolutely gorgeous.
