STRICTLY COME DANCING THE LIVE TOUR – IT’S ALMOST TIME
With Christmas almost out of the way, the glitterball is being polished, the sequins are being sewn onto dresses and jackets, and those dancing shoes will soon be getting an outing once again. Yes, January can only mean the launch of the glitziest show in town, ‘Strictly Come Dancing – The Live Tour’ will soon be back in town for the ninth star spangled year.
The very exciting news is that two of this year’s finalists will be taking to the huge dance floors, with both fan favourite and winner Jay McGuiness and the wonderful Georgia May Foote being confirmed as part of the tour with their professsional partners Aliona Vilani and Giovanni Pernice. They will be joining some of the other contestants from 2015, Helen George and Aljaz Skorjanec, Ainsley Harriott and Natalie Lowe and Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko. Also joining the tour are two stars from previous seasons, the snake- hipped Jake Wood with Janette Manrara, and one of the stars of last year, The Saturday’s Frankie Bridge with partner Kevin Clifton. Frankie was due to star in the live show last year, but was forced to withdraw due to pregnancy, so it will be great to see her this year.
The tour opens at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on 22 January 2016. This time around, there is a brand new host, with Mel Geidroyc, fresh from ‘The Great British Bake off’ taking the helm. Original judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horword are also returning, great for those who missed a ‘ten from Len’ last year.

Although I love the TV show, I’ve never gone to see the live show – though the London one isn’t far so I may get some tickets to go with the family x
