Style focus – Alice Eve
Alice Eve is one of those actresses who has quietly been creeping into our minds in 2015. She’s been around for quite a while, (I remember her in the BBC adaptation of ‘The Rotters Club’ quite a few years ago and she was pretty great in that) and has starred in films like Starter for Ten and Sex and the City 2, but 2015 has seen her emerge as one to watch, and 2016 will see her star with Hollywood luminaries such as Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins.
Winning the genetic lottery has also helped her to stand out, as the daughter of Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan she could never be anything less than beautiful, but Alice is blessed with an almost chameleon like beauty. One minute she is all girl next door, with a peaches and cream complexion and perfect teeth, the next minute she is fully fledged Hollywood, old school goddess, with Veronica Lake hair and a Hitchcock blonde countenance that means she sometimes looks like a women born 80 years too late.
She’s stylish too, I love how she can go from girl next door casual to full on screen vamp. She embraces colour- look how good she looks in orange, green and yellow, and yet never underestimates the power of the Little black dress. I particularly loves how she can wear a show stopping purple gown, totally full length and fabulous, and yet underscore it with a messy ponytail – showing total style confidence.
