Style Birmingham Live 2015 – fashion fun in Brum
Last weekend saw all the glamorous people flock to Birmingham for Style Birmingham Live 2015. Held in the Gas Hall of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, shows took place over the Saturday and Sunday and featured a range of outfits put together using the best of the Birmingham’s High Street and Independent names. The show was also a showcase for the newly opened John Lewis, who opened the show, and for the hit television show Peaky Blinders, which is famously set in the city in the 1920s. An afternoon of Luxury at Harvey Nichols
On Saturday I was part of a small group of bloggers who were treated to an incredible afternoon in the stunning ultra modern Harvey Nichols store in Birmingham’s Mailbox. Brunch, beauty, hair and a tour of the very special store were all included in a busy afternoon, one which gave a real insight into what an absolute jewel in Birmingham’s glittering crown Harvey Nicks really is. Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment
October sees the return of all our familiar Disney favourites to the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham. This time around Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment, a Feld Entertainment ice spectacular featuring four classic, fun-filled Disney stories. Following on from Easter’s shows which introduced ice fans to Anna and Elsa from the smash hit show Frozen, the ladies from Arendelle are returning and promise, once again, to raise the roof with a wealth of wonderful songs and the funniest snowman in showbiz. Harris Gibbs Hair Shop Launch Party
Harris Gibbs, one of Birmingham’s most important hair shops, celebrated the opening of their stunning new salon with a fantastic launch party in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago. I was lucky enough to be on the guest list and to enjoy a preview of the new premises, hair demos by the team, and some of the best Mojitos and food around. It was truly a lovely evening. Fun and Laughter from The Three Little pigs in Birmingham
It started with an X Factor style intro, and ended with a good old singalong between the sworn enemies the pigs and the wolf, and it was total fun and laughter in between. I’m talking about the fun new reworking of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ that has been playing at Birmingham Town Hall this week, with a star turn by Birmingham’s own Simon Webbe. We all know the story, but it is fun seeing it bought to life by the an engaging and talented cast.
