Hurray! The ‘Top of the Pops’ 1970s reruns are back, and this year the focus is on 1978. The introductory series ‘The Story of 1978’ was shown on BBC4 last night and got my very excited about this years focus, as it was the year that two of my absolute, all time style icons really found fame. This is one Autumn/Winter launch that has got me truly excited. Somerset by one of the UK’S top designers, Alice Temperley, is finally available at John Lewis. This collection has been designed exclusively for John Lewis by the designer, a favourite of Kate and Pippa Middleton no less, and is Temperley’s first collaboration for the UK high street. This is a truly beautiful collection that has all the hallmarks of the established Temperley design. The wonderful ad campaign features English Rose model Lily Donaldson, who looks wonderful in the lines – the perfect face for this collection.
