Boohoo Plus – perfect pieces for the Party Season

Well done Boohoo Plus! The plus size range, that was launched about this time last year, has won the prestigious ‘Best for Curves; award at the Cosmopolitan fash fest. This doesn’t really surprise me, the award is well deserved for a range that offers great choice, really smart designs and good value for the sometimes disappointing plus size clothing market. This season, Boohoo has picked up on the key trends, and offered versions that will delight fashion fans everywhere. We have some gorgeous midi skirts, with elegant styling that is subverted by the use of velvet, mesh paneling and pu fabric that add a sexier edge to that office essential.…

    20 party dresses under £30

Party season is almost upon us, and as those invites drop onto the mat (or Inbox – I know, it is the 21st Century), we can get those mixed feelings of excitement, and worry, with that aged old question of ‘what I am going to wear?’ starting to sink in. The problem is, party season can be a very expensive game. Boohoo launch Plus size range!

As a lady who can easily wear anything from a size 16 to a size 20, it is always a thrill and a pleasure when a new range that caters for plus sizes is launched. Fast fashion brands are often the worst offenders for not having diversity in their sizes, meaning that many young girls are basically opted out of this affordable market – their sizes are simply not available. With all this in mind, I was really excited yesterday when I received an email to say…

M&S – Picks from the Press Day and seasonal treats for Christmas

The Marks and Spencer press day has become one of the key events when looking towards a new season on fashion. Held at the beautiful No1 Marylebone, this is always an event not to be missed, one that promises to be full of the designs you will be wearing next season. The Spring/Summer event took place a couple of weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be sent an invitation.  The ranges were organised under evocative titles, ‘White Out’ offered crisp, clean, minimal lines in the colour that is always most perfect for accompanying a suntan in Summer. I loved the Charlotte Rampling inspiration of the white trouser suit,…

Reviewed – Next Teal Baroque Dress

If you are looking for a versatile dress that can take you anywhere this season, then step this way. I was recently sent the Teal Baroque dress from Next, and I have to say this is one dress that you can literally wear for any occasion. It is wonderfully rich in colour, very comfortable to wear, and seems to be impossible to crease – what’s not to love? I am most definitely a dress person, and after a bit of an obsession with 1950s style shapes, lately I’ve been tempted back to the world of the neat shift dress. But I do have a few stipulations. Shift dresses can be…
