Another crazy season of Celebrity Big Brother ended last week, with the likeable Scotty T crowned as champion. It is a series that will go down as one of the most memorable in recent TV history, what with the death of David Bowie while his ex wife Angie was in the house (and with Tiffany thinking it was housemate David Gest that had died.). Then there was the romance between Jeremy and troubled ex Hollyoaks star Steph, and the very strange appearance of Gillian McKeith. Glamour at the Baftas from House of Fraser
Last night saw the television Baftas taking place, with the stars of the small screen walking the red carpet. Sheridan Smith, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Millie Mackintosh, Michelle Keegan and Denise Van Outen were amongst the lovely ladies who got their best frocks on for a night of television celebration. If I’m being honest, it was far from a vintage night for style or fashion. Style Birmingham Live – A huge Success
Last weekend saw what was, quite possibly, the greatest Style Birmingham Live ever. This really was an event that had it all. The weekend started with a bang with a champagne reception and hair treats from the Francesco Group. This was followed by an amazing spectacle of fashion from the cream of Birmingham retailers, from House of Fraser and the Bullring, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, with good old M&S thrown in for good measure. Style Birmingham Live – Emma Willis returns to Brum.
This weekend sees the return of Birmingham’s premiere fashion event. Style Birmingham live is a cool mixture of fashion, in store events and fabulous promotions. The centre-piece to the event is a series of fashion shows that will showcase the best of the Autumn/Winter 2013 trends, and this year will have Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model Season 9 Winner Lauren Lambert prowling the catwalk. Retail Birmingham Awards bring the red carpet to the second city.
The voting has officially just finished. Now the counting will begin to find out who will win the coveted prizes at the inaugural Retail Birmingham Awards. The most important night in the Midlands retail calendar is taking place on March 3rd at Birmingham Town Hall. It will be hosted by glamorous BBC Midlands Today host Suzanne Virdee, and a host of fashionista’s and celebrities are expected to walk the red carpet.
