How Road Safety savvy are your kids?
A true story. A couple of years ago my family spent some time in Wales. It was gorgeously sunny and we were spending most of our days at the beach and having late suppers. One evening we decided to get chips and burgers for dinner and popped to Dolgellau – a nearby town. The pavements were very narrow and so we had to walk in single file – I had Joe in front of me. Suddenly the pavement stopped altogether on our side of the road, and Joe, seeing a pavement on the other side, instinctively just ran into the road to cross over. I froze and just screamed, which…

Buying Our First Super King Size Mattress
Over the years our family size has grown, the one thing that is still the same however is our mattress. We purchased our double mattress many years ago, and today I decided that it was time to upgrade to a better and bigger mattress. I was going to make this a simple purchase, hit the internet, find a mattress online, make the purchase and enjoy our new mattress. Mother’s Day – a time for memories
I love Mother’s day, it is a time to spoil and pamper my lovely mother, and now, with a beautiful boy of my own, I get spoiled too. In fact, he presented me with a lovely bear he had chosen last week, he was just too excited to wait. Merry Christmas from Fashion-Mommy
I’m signing off now to enjoy a wonderful family Christmas. It really starts tonight when we make a trip to Birmingham’s Electric Cinema to watch Home Alone, and is then family all the way, making memories with every passing hour. So it feels fitting to take this opportunity to wish all the fashion-mommy readers and friends a very merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings everything you wished for, and that your days will be merry and bright (yes, plagiarizing Bing Crosby there.) May the coming year be a good one, and I look forward to sharing new stories and memories with you in 2015 – a year which will mark…

Febreze – The Sweet Smell of Christmas
Christmas – it’s a feast of smells isn’t it. The gorgeous scents of cinnamon and mulled wine, of chestnuts roasting on an open fire, the mouthwatering aroma of a turkey roasting slowly in the oven. The most wonderful time of the year is also the most fragrant. Yeah right, who exactly am I trying to kid? All the fragrances above are wonderful, but they are not the only smells associated with Christmas. The smell of cooking can become something you wish to escape from once you’ve had your fill of food. The aroma of sprouts is never good in my view, and once the whole family has feasted on them,…
