The Bullring Bloggers Event

Last Thursday saw the first Bullring Bloggers event, which combined beauty, food and fashion previews for the coming season. The event was held in the hospitality suite hidden within the Bullring, and I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to what was a lovely evening of all my favourite things.

Super cute cookie!

DSCN8519The evening started with two style presentations. The first was a curl session from Umberto Giannini, with a focus on the latest Curl Friends products that have been such a big story this summer. The second session was taken by my lovely friend Elca Jeffers and looked at the new Autumn collections from Karen Millen, and, in particular, the departure in style from being a brand closely associated with occasion-wear, to a brand producing collections influenced by the photography of David Bailey.

With the sessions over, there was a lot of opportunity to check out the brands who were exhibiting. There were make-over tips and try-outs from Urban Decay, these proved to be really popular. Shu Uemura were showcasing some beautiful summer colours in gorgeous new packaging, I must admit I totally fell in love with these. Kiehls were on hand to showcase a product that I am hoping to try soon, the ‘Calendula deep cleansing foaming wash’, (You can view it here) whilst Clarins demonstrated just why their ‘Double Serum‘ is so best-selling.

The Lipsticks from Shu Uemura I just fell in love with.

The eye palette’s were super pretty too.

There was some fabulous food on the night courtesy of Wagamama ( a pretty amazing warm chilli chicken salad) and Nando’s. Folli Follie also had a display of some of their latest must haves, with an orange bag that was top of most of our Autumn wish lists.  And, just when it seemed the night couldn’t get any better, we were presented with an individual gift bag which contained the most wonderful gift from Tatty Devine – a personalised necklace. How brilliant is this!

This bag is so beautiful from Folli Follie.

Thank you Bullring and Tatty Devine!

Folli Follie Bracelets – A fashion passion

Last Christmas I attended a special bloggers event at Selfridges in Birmingham. It was an amazing event which I truly enjoyed, and the night was enhanced even more when we were given a special Christmas goodie bag to take home. I literally let out a squeal of delight when I discovered an orange Folli Follie pouch within, and squealed some more when I opened it to find a beautiful signature bracelet in one of my favourite shades of blue. Christmas had certainly come early!

Since that night I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with Folli Follie, a brand which I think designs beautiful jewellery which also deliver the elements of fun and colour. Finding that my beloved bangle came in my current favourite shade of hot pink, and also in a monochrome style design in black and sparkling silver, were the start of this obsession.

But it’s not just the resin signature bangles that have me dancing with joy, for Folli Follie really is King (or more likely Queen) when it comes to designing something totally eye-catching for your wrist.  The ‘Greece is Bliss’ bracelets are great fun, coming in a range of zesty, bright colours, making them the perfect holiday accessory. I adore the ‘Colourful bracelet’, which has the look of a solitaire ring, but again has a colourful punch in shades of orange, pink and purple (amongst many other colours…Folli Follie is the Rainbow Brite of the jewel world.)
