5 Fashion Brands Who Are Killing It This Season

We see the same fashion brands on the catwalks and draped over the shoulders of models regularly but which ones are actually killing it this season and should be on your radar for the coming year?

Michael Kors

Michael Kors is a fashion brand enjoyed by the masses as it makes luxury affordable. The designs in the fashion brand’s ranges demand more reasonable prices and therefore offer something for everyone who wants to enjoy a designer label on their arm.

This season expect to see stunning swimwear, timeless and elegant shoe design and playsuits in every pattern and colour combination. Michael Kors continues to kill it with its range of popular watch designs, which you can pick up for even lower prices at TicWatches, and bags that are regularly worn by celebrities including Blake Lively and Kate Hudson.

A timeless fashion brand, Chanel continues to kill it every single season and with brand ambassadors such as Cara Delevigne and Kendall Jenner stealing the show you should see plenty of Lagerfield’s work being papped.

The fashion brand’s Cruise collection is killing it, the designs take simplistic pastel colours and mixes them with bold patterns, as well as throwing in some patent and sheer material to add new dimensions. Expect to see the high street taking this collection on board and embrace it yourself.

JW Anderson

A relatively fresh face on the fashion show circuit, British design house JW Anderson is killing it this season with layered styles, sharp cuts and unusual shapes. The fashion brand is making waves due to its bold, distinct style that has been created for those who like to make a statement. Don’t expect the distinctive designs to come with a reasonable price tag though.

Nike appears to be on everyone’s feet these days, people wear Nike Airs with summer dresses or jeans and a blouse, mixing sportswear style with everyday clothing choices. Nike is killing it by turning out exciting new designs regularly, in a variety of colours to match all tastes. Expect to see everyone embracing the brand – and not just for their Sunday morning run, either.

An unlikely contender when it comes to brands that are killing it, H&M is well loved by the common folk and celebrities, such as Jessica Alba and Taylor Swift. The brand is killing it in 2015 with its latest collaborative range with Parisian design house Balmain, due for release later this year. Kendall Jenner has reared her head again as a fan of the collaboration along with supermodel Jourdan Dunn, as they wore pieces to the Billboard awards earlier this year.

This year, as always, there’s plenty going on in the fashion world. These are definitely five brands to watch and expect great things of as they continue to kill it.

Valentine’s Day ideas from Pavilions and The Fort

Next week will see the most romantic day of the year arrive. Valentine’s Day is all about hearts and flowers, and showing someone how much you love them. But, if we’re honest, men don’t always get it right. My mom once received a rather ugly fleecy dressing gown, a good friend once got a bottle of Oil of Ulay and a foot scrubber. Men do often need a guiding hand to point them in the right direction, and turning pages over on the designer bags in magazines doesn’t always achieve the desired effect.

But fear not. Fashion-Mommy has got a fab selection of ideas that are available from two of Birmingham’s leading shopping destinations, Pavilions and The Fort. These are gifts from all price points, starting at just £1.50, and take into account what takes your fancy, from beauty to beautiful homewares, from pampering products to sexy lingerie. All these items are available as we speak, and where possible, I’ve added an internet link too. Now all you have to do is print this off, get a red marker pen, add a big circle around the item you would really like, and hand this to  your other half. As that Meerkat would say ‘Simples’.
