July Outfit Post
July was my favourite month of the year so far. This was because I spent half of the month in wonderful Cyprus, and, more importantly, I got to see my little brother get married. It was a month of sunshine and fun, and, to top it all off, there was a sleepover at Warwick Castle and a theatre night too. A busy month that was full of fun. My outfits this month all suggest sunny days and a warm climate, which makes perfect sense as Cyprus was going through a bit of a heatwave at the time (40 degrees plus most days – basically melting weather). There are new buys…

Summer dress inspiration from Angelina Jolie, Madame X and Mango
When it comes to Summer dressing, black is the new white. Black is not always first choice for summer dresses, pretty much every colour will come in front of it in our mental lists, but I think this is a mistake. Black is always chic, looks great against a suntan, covers all manner of evils when you’re having those not-so-perfect days bodywise, and is basically a classic choice, even (or maybe especially) in summer. This summer, with summer balls and prom season almost upon us, I think we should take inspiration for our dresses from two major sources. First up is Madame X, as painted by John Singer Sargent. This…

Gorgeous Looks from the Evening Standard Awards
The Evening Standard awards are, in general, a far more low-key affair in British film than the Baftas, which are due to take place this sunday, but they still throw up some good looks, and, in Andrea Riseborough’s Jenny Packham, a dress that could rival anything that Hollywood has to offer. Also attending the ceremony was Helen McCrory, that wonderful actress so often in the shade of hubby Damian Lewis. I loved her maxi skirt and black silk blouse. This was just such a grown up look, a touch 1930s, and so striking, teamed with a very glam Kate Spade clutch bag. Hayley Atwell went for a brightly printed burnt…

Full length and fabulous dresses – Time to Party.
A fabulous quote by socialite Susan Gutfreund in this month’s Vanity Fair “…You go to a black tie now and it’s so abnormal to see anyone wearing long. Most women it seems now wear their pyjamas out in the evenings.” I have to agree, and this is such a shame, especially at this time of year. For Christmas is the perfect opportunity to really dress up. And this year there are just so many beautiful dresses that fit that term ‘full length and fabulous’. Here are a selection available now, with any voucher codes and discounts I could find to help your be a super-stylish-saver too. Dorothy Perkins Dorothy Perkins…

Made in Chelsea Caggie – an update
Since writing my last piece about Made in Chelsea, I have been overwhelmed by the interest in the trio of girls that I featured, but in particular the interest in Caggie Dunlop. Everyone seems to want to know where this girl gets her clothes from, or how they can get the Caggie look. I have also been emailed by companies suggesting their products for those who want Caggie’s style. So, here is a quick update on the Caggie look book. The gorgeous Grecian style dress that Caggie is wearing in the picture above is a High Street find from Mango. It is still available in sizes 8,10 and 12. This…
