The Golden Globes – my fave looks.
It was the Golden Globes last night, awards season finally started. But, to be fair, It wasn’t a vintage night style wise. So many of my favourite ladies (Amy Adams, Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore and many, many more) wore dresses that made me despair and say aloud ‘All those dresses and you chose that.’ Paula Patton came dressed as a giant marshmallow. Lena Dunham picked a Zac Posen dress of a beautiful citrus yellow shade that looked so tight and uncomfortable she seemed unable to stand up straight in it. Best dressed of 2011- My top 20.
2011 has been a truly stylish year, with so many unforgettable looks. With a whole host of beautiful celebrity brides, including a new Royal Duchess to entrance with her supreme fashion choices and her ‘It’ girl sister, 2011 will forever more be known as the year that gave us Kate…and Pippa. But there were so many other looks that also excited and thrilled fashionistas this year. Here are a few of my personal favourites. Let me know what your favourite outfit of 2011 was? Gucci and the colour clash.
BLUE AND GREEN NEVER BE SEEN! That was one of my Grandad’s favourite sayings concerning fashion (the other being never put new shoes on the table.). I always thought the blue and green was funny,because I personally loved those two colours, in their brightest forms, together. But this season, fashion has decreed that any two, or even three colours, can be worn together in any combination and look amazing. And it’s thanks, in no small part to Gucci!
