Last night saw the first ‘big’ awards ceremony of what is awards season, with the 81st Golden Globes being presented. The Golden Globes is always seen as a great pointer to what could win big at the Oscars, and this year all the talk was about the highly anticipated competition between the two big films of the ‘Barbieheimer’ Summer, Barbie and Oppenheimer. Last night saw the start of Awards Season in Hollywood, with the awarding of the annual Golden Globe Awards which honour the best in film and television from the previous year. As always. the Golden Globes are all about the fashion, as well as being a pointer to who might win big at The Oscars next month. I have to say that from a fashion point of view, the awards were a little disappointing. Last night saw the first red carpet proper of awards season, when the Golden Globes took place. This post is dedicated to the trends of the night, which saw deep, plunging cleavage being one of the key looks on the night, as Halston style necklines reigned supreme. Best dressed on the night for me was the exquisite JLo, who moved away from the nude, barely there dresses of last season, to full on, vintage style Hollywood glamour, in a dress she described as ‘mustardy’.
