Look how you’ve changed – Pop Stars and their image.

In these image obsessed times, the way a pop star look is almost as important as the songs they sing. The likes of Taylor Swift and Beyonce are renowned as fashion icons, feted for their fashion choices and often to be found sitting in the front row at New York Fashion Week. In reality, the link between fashion and music has always been there, with Debbie Harry, Madonna, Roisin from Moloko and Beth Ditto amongst those who have made their mark both for their music, and their unique personal style.

Gear4DJs, theUK suppliers of DJ equipment and lighting, have put together a fun infographic that takes some of the current leading lights in pop music and shows how their style has evolved since they found fame. As well as the aforementioned Beyonce and Taylor Swift, the infographic also features another style queen in the form of Rihanna, as well as Justin Beiber, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.  In the case of Miley Cyrus in particularly, the transformation has been huge, from cute Disney princess, to punk style princess parading in little more than her underwear.

My personal favourite transformation from the infographic is that of Lady Gaga. From the barely there outfit of the ‘Poker Face’ era, to the infamous meat dress, Gaga has always known how to fascinate and shock in equal measures. But, with her transformation as a Golden Globe winnning actress and Oscar nominee, we are seeing a totally different side to the lady, one concerned with old Hollywood glamour, inspired by the goddesses Marilyn Monroe and Veronica Lake. Full length and fabulous dressing, platinum blond waves and a genuine hair of grown up sophistication are the order of the day, although, with her fixation on the late, great David Bowie, who knows what the style chameleon will come up with next?

Shopping At Talbots Is A Pleasure

Sometimes shopping can be a nightmare, whether it’s the traffic, the crowds or sales associates who are annoyed when you ask for help. With saving money being a top priority for many retailers, sometimes the quality of the items they sell suffers greatly. It’s pretty easy to notice the button that falls off the day you wore that blouse or the seam in your pants is starting to tear after only wearing it twice.

This is the reason why a company like Talbots has been able to last for more than 68 years and still going strong. Their dedication and total commitment to its customers and quality of the products has never wavered. The principles that created this company are still prevalent today.

They have locations across North America as well as their online site where you can purchase anything they carry with confidence and ease. On their site you will find a detailed size chart which makes it easy to choose the right size. They design their clothes to fit different body types and they take into account the person’s weight and height. The breakdown of their sizing is as follows: Misses for women 5 4″ to 5 8″, Petite for women 4 11″ to 5 4″, Woman (Plus Size)  5 4″ to 5 8″ and Woman Petite 4 11″ to 5 4″. This is what separates them from other retailers.

A short petite woman will not get a perfect fit if she buys a regular petite size if the height is not considered, it will be long on her and will need to be altered.  That petite woman can shop knowing that the apparel she buys will fit her right and be able to use the Talbots online coupon to get herself a discount.

When visiting their outlets don’t forget to take the Talbots outlet coupon with you, it will help you save even more.

Best looks from The Brits

The Brit Awards offers the cream of the British music industry the chance to get dressed up and generally let their hair down whilst enjoying the copious amounts of hospitality (ahem!) on offer. The latest ceremony has been totally overshadowed by Madonna, an Armani cape and a pretty spectacular fall, but on the fashion front it was a certain Miss Paloma Faith who took all the plaudits.

Paloma was awarded a much deserved Best Female Singer award on the night, and wore three showstopping looks, including Armani Prive and Dolce and Gabbana. She looked every inch the star, even when performing in a rainstorm. I’ve been a fan of Paloma since day one, and adore her style, she was the only person who could do the Olympic torch relay in 6 inch red heels. She goes from strength to strength and is totally unique, a real one off.
