Ted Baker’s amazing new men’s accessories at Selfridges
Whilst the ladies were enjoying the gigantic shopping experience that is Style Birmingham, Selfridges made sure that the menfolk were not neglected with a very special launch of the ‘Ted Baker workshop’ department. This was the sort of event which should really be ‘Only men allowed’, but I popped along a little earlier for a sneaky preview of what sort of treats were going to be on offer that afternoon, and let’s just say that this event would appeal to even those men who profess to really hating shopping!
Ted Baker accessories have been something pretty special in recent seasons, I totally adore the shiny brights of Ted’s ‘sweet shoppe’ collection, and now men are being treated to a fantastic array of bags, wallets, tablet cases and mobile phone holders that can take them from work, rest and play. Many of the pieces in the collection are exclusive to Selfridges, and promise that they will help the modern man survive in the modern world. And, to be quite frank, some of the pieces are so good ladies will be running to their partners wardrobes in order to relieve them of such gorgeous accessories.
The Ted Baker workshop is a real man’s space, with tape measures, tools and a bit of a woodshed feel, so it was fitting that the launch party and special gifts had that same masculine edge. There were bottles of Pale Ale to wash down the canapes of mini Yorkshire pudding and roast beef, whilst there were traditional style tin/enamel cups and carpenters pencils and pads as little gifts with purchases,.
This was a really cool launch event with a difference, and with the collection being so fabulous, don’t be surprised if you find that your husband/partner/boyfriend/brother is suddenly expressing an interest in a trip to Selfridges…
