Wallis – It’s all about the Jackets
Autumn is the time when we relinquish our bare arms and the jackets come out in force. The weather isn’t actually freezing yet, but we need something that can banish that definite chill that lingers in the air. We basically need a jacket.
Wallis has really come up trumps in the jacket department this season, with a range that takes in blazers, tuxedos and biker styles. But my favourite style this season is the waterfall jacket that has taken a step away from the block colour versions of past seasons, and has embraced pattern and print. I was asked to choose my favourite style, and had no hesitation in picking the ‘Animal Print Waterfall Jacket’ that is now amazingly in the sale for just £20.
I totally love this jacket – it is just so easy to wear, and practically versatile enough to wear anywhere. The sleeves look great rolled up to make this a more casual look, and the waterfall effect is very flattering if, like me, you have a large bust. The pattern is very subtle for animal print, not loud at all, and so will appeal to people who usually avoid the more overpowering leopard prints. I’ve already worn this with jeans and a flowing white blouse, but know it will look just as good as an evening cover up over a little black dress, or even with a black pencil skirt and polo neck for a great work outfit.
The colour is fabulous, it is a deep rust rather than brown and so looks fab with shades like yellow and teal, as well as black and brown. This is a great, wearable piece that will work hard in your wardrobe.
Wallis have some other fabulous jackets at the moment if the waterfall effect is not your style. Here are a few more favourites to add to your Autumn wardrobe.
