Peacocks A/W Press day Kate,Pippa and a whole lot of Pearl.
Thursday saw Eastcastle St, London transformed into Peacocksville as discerning fashionista’s descended on the Oui Rooms to check out the new Peacocks collections that will have us salivating come November and December. And there were so many fabulous looks to savour…as well as a few surprises. The new Pearl Lowe collections have moved slightly away from her beloved 1940s, and are now embracing a glamorous Hollywood 1930s vibe. Champagne silk and lace, and black oriental style florals simply evoke the time of Kay Francis and Miriam Hopkins, whilst maintaining the amazing Peacocks price points. There were also fabulous 50s silhouette dresses that used the luxe fabrics of velour and lace,…

Kate Moss returns to the catwalk…and heralds the return of white in your wardrobe.
We’ve only just stopped talking about her last appearance on the Marc Jacobs/Louis Vuitton catwalk, the one where she appeared to be wearing support pants and was smoking a cigarette on National No smoking day. And now Kate Moss has returned to the Louis Vuitton catwalk, and this time it was apparently at her own request. Paris Fashion Week – Front Row Style.
Paris fashion week is well-known for the starriest and most stylish front rows, and this year has been no exception. From Princess Charlene who shone in gold on the front row at Akris, to Clemence Poesy and Uma Thurman flying the flag for Chanel, the front rows have been a good combination of star power and style power. Here are some of my favourite front row looks, and how you can channel the look for a fraction of the cost. Carinne Roitfeld and Jennifer Hudson both looked fabulous in the simple, but very stylish pencil skirt and shirt combo. Pencil skirts are a hot story this year,it was only last…

Pearl Lowe continues to bring that Vintage feel to Peacocks.
I was recently lucky enough to have a Twitter conversation with Pearl Lowe, where I was able to tell her how much I loved her feminine, vintage inspired designs for Peacocks. I explained that I was a curvy girl who had virtually lived in one of her designs over the summer, and that I couldn’t believe just how flattering the designs were for those with fuller figures. Pearl explained that she designs dresses that she could wear herself, and so they are made to suit, and indeed enhance girls with curves! So I am over the moon to bring you the story and looks from Pearl’s latest collection for Peacocks,…

Win! With White Stuff and Fashion-Mommy.
As regular Fashion-Mommy readers know, I’m a huge fan of White Stuff, the British High Street brand with an emphasis on quality and originality. I have been lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the Winter collection that will be hitting stores later this month and have to say it is absolutely gorgeous. Warm, cosy and with an emphasis on the sort of chunky knits that have you dreaming of snowy days, I think White Stuff clearly has another winning collection on its hands. The images above are from the White Stuff Winter magalogue, the White Stuff version of a catalogue, that comes complete with stories that turn it…
