The Nutcracker brings Christmas Magic to Birmingham
A visit to see ‘The Nutcracker’ always signifies the start of my Christmas. The classic Tchaikovsky ballet which tells the magical story of the night before Christmas, is a seasonal treat that arrived at the Birmingham Hippodrome this weekend, delighting audiences young and old. To put it simply, The Nutcracker is Christmas, especially when staged by the fabulous Birmingham Royal Ballet, celebrating 25 years in 2015. Getting festive with Ocean
We have a bit of a tradition in our house. Every year we buy some new decorations and baubles for the tree, something to add to the (already) large collection that will ensure that the house doesn’t look exactly the same year after year. I get the decorations from some of my favourite stores (Paperchase, Debenhams, John Lewis) and then, on the last weekend in November, we decorate the house as a family. Style Focus – Adele
I don’t mind admitting that I’m a little obsessed with Adele at the moment. Hello is an absolute belter of a song, one I keep singing in my kitchen. (Well, at least attempting to sing, I’m more Oh! hell than Adele.) She’s breaking records left, right and centre, and seems to be totally comfortable in her own skin.
