Liquid Yoga from Mio
Liquid Yoga. Even the name sounds like something that will be tranquil and relaxing. Mio Skincare has created a range of products that claim to be Liquid Yoga – by that they mean relaxing, soothing and basically a personal masseuse in a bottle. As someone who spends a lot of time walking, and even more playing football in the garden with an active 6 year old, the idea of having my own personal masseuse is very tempting. And if Liquid Yoga isn’t quite George Clooney delivering a massage, it comes pretty close. Mio sells Liquid Yoga so well. It says “..Relax and calm your busy mind; ease hard-working muscles and…

Outside the Box: Wedding Party Gifts That Go Above and Beyond Expectation
Your bridesmaids do more than wear pretty dresses and stand next to you when you get married (even if coming to fittings for the dresses should count as real work, too) — they are there for you to count on for anything that you may need. You can turn to them for suggestions, for help packing for your wedding, for beauty emergencies, to keep track of all the gifts, to run errands, and in general, for help with anything that will help you focus on the task at hand, which is getting married. For all the help that your friends generously shower on you, you must want to show them…

Escaping to some Winter Sun
That’s it, we are officially in Christmas season. John Lewis have released their advert this morning and it is another absolute triumph, a real tear jerker entitled ‘The Man in the Moon’. This very fact, combined with the passing of both Halloween and Bonfire Night, means that we are now safely on the home stretch towards Christmas. But what if your best answer to Christmas and Winter is to escape it? What if you like a little Winter Sun. There are certainly some real bargains to be found at this time of year, with companies like Sunshine.co.uk offering cheap flights, hotels and package holidays while the season is quieter. But,…

All the charm of Christmas with Lily Charmed
There’s a reindeer, a penguin, a snowflake and a Christmas tree. No, I’m not talking about Disney’s follow up to Frozen, but the beautiful, magical Christmas charm collection from Lily Charmed. These stunning pendants and bracelets are gorgeous gift ideas for moms, sisters, aunties and best friends, and could also be the perfect answer for those who want to wear something Christmassy, but find the ubiquitous jumper a little bit too much. I have been a fan of Lily Charmed, and its quirky, adorable charms, since I discovered they had created a Custard Cream charm – how could anyone resist a tribute to their favourite biscuit. I loved the fact…

Reviewed – Handmade Burger Co. at Grand Central Birmingham
The arrival of Grand Central Birmingham has meant the opening of lots of new eateries, selling a wide variety of different cuisines. On Sunday I was invited to check out on of those restaurants, the Handmade Burger Co, which offers one of the biggest selections of burgers I have ever seen. So, after Joe had made his football debut for Wyrley Rangers, and we were all suitably starving after a morning on the footie touchline, we made our way to my new favourite shopping centre to try out the handmade Burgers of the Handmade Burger Co. The restaurant is another that has that slightly industrial feel to it, with a…
