Christmas Gift ideas and review from Jack Wills
My latest gift guide/review deals with some fabulous products from Jack Wills. They have really upped the ante this year when it comes to great Christmas gift ideas and stocking fillers, with a range that shows variety, style and, of course, that navy and pink classic stripe design. Jack Wills is a brand I’m slightly unfamiliar with in that I obviously know the brand, but have always believed it was something for a teenage audience. This was due to the hoodies, shirts and t-shirts that were a big story for the brand. But to dismiss Jack Wills as just somewhere for casual teenage wear is to make a huge mistake,…

The most wonderful time of the year…for burglars
It is the most wonderful time of the year. We are all getting excited as we countdown to Christmas, and our homes look their prettiest as we deck the halls, dress the tree, and generally make everything sparkling and pretty. But there is another side to Christmas that is less seasonal and rather more unsavoury. For Christmas is also the most wonderful time of the year for burglars. Late November to early January are the worst time of the year in terms of house burglaries. Presents are left on display under Christmas tress, fully lit by twinkling lights. Vision Direct launch ‘A Pug’s Christmas
It’s been quite a Christmas when it comes to adverts. We’ve had the tear jerking Man in the Moon by John Lewis, the hilarious Calamity Christmas with Judith Kerr’s Mog from Sainsburys, and now, Vision Direct have launched their first ever Christmas campaign, which may well be the cutest and most adorable of them all. And it is all thanks to a gorgeous little pug called Gizmo. ‘A Pug’s Christmas’ is the heartwarming story of a little boy, and his short-sighted pug, the gloriously cute Gizmo. Now, if I hadn’t already drawn you in with the fact that the star of the show is a dog, that fact that this dog…

Deluxe Dinner Suits from F&F Clothing
As I mentioned in a previous post, I was nominated for best blogger award at the inaugural Birmingham Awards which took place last Friday at the Warwickshire Cricket Ground. I was dressed in a beautiful gown from Kaliko (which you can read about here.) My husband Pete, who was my plus one on the night was in a wonderful formal dinner suit that was sent for the occasion by those wonderful people at F&F Clothing. Pete is quite adventurous when it comes to clothing, he will experiment with different colours and take chances on new styles. He has worn a dinner suit on a number of occasions ranging from weddings,…

White Christmas sprinkles Christmas Magic
A little bit like the advent calender’s that popped up everywhere yesterday, the 1st of December also saw the Wolverhampton Grand theatre opening the doors to the latest seasonal classic, the musical stage version of ‘White Christmas’ . The frothy, sparking musical, based upon the classic Bing Crosby/Danny Kaye Paramount Pictures film, was staged with style and panache by the South Staffs Musical Theatre Company. It was an utterly charming, crowd pleasing piece that left the audience leaving the theatre with a warm glow truly believing Christmas had arrived. We start in 1944, where Privates Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are entertaining the troops on Christmas Eve. Flash forward 10…
