Bianca Jagger’s 70s style with Boohoo
If I had to choose my favourite style decade, I would probably choose the 1970s. I am a child of the 1970s (born in June 1974, when The Rubettes were number one with Sugar Baby Love – totally love that song!) and love all the styles of that decade, from Glam Rock to Punk. But the trend I love most from that decade has to be the ultra glamorous, Halston dominated, Studio 54 era.
Studio 54 was the domain of the beautiful people of the 1970s. From Margeaux Hemingway, to David Bowie, via Andy Warhol, Rudolph Nureyev and Liza Minnelli, all the biggest stars flocked to the decadent, disco-era nightclub in New York. But in terms of sheer beauty and trendsetting elegance, the Queen of Studio 54 was Bianca Jagger. And it is her style that we are looking to as we approach Christmas this year, with Boohoo.com channeling the draping, sequins and fluid satin looks of the late 1970s.
