Boohoo embrace the 70s with Kimonos and flares
When we look back at the summer of 2015 in fashion terms, we will remember it as the year the 70s had a revival. It has been virtually impossible to escape 70s style this season, almost all High street, online and designer brands have done their version of the fashion of the 1970s. A decade that used to be considered one that style had forgotten, it is now seen as a era when new and vibrant designs by the likes of Zandra Rhodes, Bill Gibb, Halston and Betsey Johnson all contributed to a really exciting time in fashion. Bianca Jagger’s 70s style with Boohoo
If I had to choose my favourite style decade, I would probably choose the 1970s. From Margeaux Hemingway, to David Bowie, via Andy Warhol, Rudolph Nureyev and Liza Minnelli, all the biggest stars flocked to the decadent, disco-era nightclub…

Ossie Clark being relaunched by Debenhams – super exciting
If you think of a designer who epitomised the late 1960s/early 197os, the name that probably springs to mind is Ossie Clark. The flamboyant designer created a wealth of beautiful, floaty garments that featured the glorious prints of his wife, Celia Birtwell. These were the clothing of choice for all who were famous, beautiful and beloved of the generation. Bianca Jagger wore an Ossie Clark design for her 1971 wedding to Mick Jagger, Anita Pallenburg. Marianne Faithfull, Ali McGraw, Angelica Huston, Twiggy and Mick Jagger himself all shone in Ossie’s designs, which were characterised by beautiful prints, fluid movement and those long sweeping sleeves. Ossie Clark died in 1996, murdered…

The Row’s Latest Collection – A bit too much white for me!
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have longed since shrugged off the child star tags to be respected in the fashion world for their collections, ‘Elizabeth and James‘ and ‘The Row‘. Their latest collection was unveiled at New York Fashion Week this week, and was shown to be all white. No, that isn’t a spelling error, the collection really was ALL WHITE. A collection of cleanliness and purity, but one which unfortunately started to blend into itself as the whites made your eyesight blurry and milky. If ever something was crying out for a blast of colour, it was this collection. That’s not to say that there aren’t some great pieces in…
