Black Friday Fashion With High Street Outlet
Tomorrow is Black Friday, and that is the perfect time to source all your Christmas party outfits. After all, we all love something nice to wear, and after the distinct lack of festive parties last year, this year is a lovely opportunity to dress up, put the glad rags on, and really go to town with our looks. And, if you can save some money, even better.
High Street Outlet is already a brilliant place to find good quality clothing from major High Street brands at lower prices. You can save up to 90% off RRP, and, this Black Friday you can get an extra 10% off everything sitewide with the code BF10, and will also get a free scarf with every order over £40.
I think this is a perfect excuse to shop, and I have put together a couple of outfits from High Street Outlet that could take you to a party this year, or could even work as Christmas day outfits. Keeping with the Black friday theme, these outfits are a take on the little black dress, and also an all black outfit for those who don’t do dresses.
Look 1 – No dresses allowed
Not everyone likes to wear dresses, for some, the idea of a frock is a no go, but that doesn’t mean that you want to avoid sparkle, and if you are the person cooking Sunday lunch, you may want something more comfortable that you can throw an apron on top of.
The black devore velvet top is an easy to wear, smock style top that looks just perfect when worn over skinny jeans and leggings. It comes in sizes that range from 8-10, to XXL, which is size 24, and has a soft flowing style that makes it suit most body shapes.
The devore velvet fabric adds a luxurious look to this top, and the a-line shape makes it perfect to be worn with trousers, although you could easily tuck this into a skirt waistband to make a different look. You could add a long chain necklace to accessorise, or you could take advantage of the free scarf offer and add this to your look.
I kept my look full black by teaming the top and scarf with a pair of Love Leggings jeggings, and a black Paul Costelloe bag. The only added touch of colour was from my Biba animal print heels. I think this look could easily work for a bar or a restaurant, and if I changed the footwear to boots, I could also wear this for a day at the Christmas markets.
Look 2 – The Little Black Dress
Of course, a little black dress is a style that never goes out of fashion, works for most occasions, and suits pretty much everyone. In other words, it’s a no brainer. My little black dress is a black shimmer style, with long sleeves and an elegant midi length that makes it work well with both heels and boots.
The Black Shimmer Dress was originally from Swedish brand Ellos, and has a definite feel of understated Scandi style. The fabric is both stretchy and shimmery, with a beautiful defined waistband that adds definition to your figure. It is an elegant look, but one that is also warm if you are traveling to events/parties by public transport.
I added a simple chain necklace, also by High Street Outlet, and my animal print heels to pick out the gold of the necklace, and braved going bare legged, but you could add opaque tights and an ankle boot with a chunky heel to this look to make it warmer, or you could change the necklace for a long string of pearls for a classic Chanel style.
